Trinity College London is an approved provider of official SELT — Secure English Language Tests for certain UK visa, settlement, citizenship, work and study applications.
DrivingNTR Limited, through NTR Study, is a Trinity SELT Approved Service Provider, offering preparation tailored to Trinity exam formats.
Which test do you need?
A1 — GESE Grade 2
Usually required for certain initial family visa applications. It assesses speaking and listening skills.
- Further Leave to Remain (parent/partner)
- Representative of an Overseas Business visa
- Sportsperson visa (T2)
A2 — GESE Grade 3
Usually required for certain family visa extension applications. It assesses speaking and listening skills.
- Further Leave to Remain (visa extension)
B1 — GESE Grade 5
B1 — GESE Grade 5
May be used for settlement, Indefinite Leave to Remain and British citizenship applications. It assesses speaking and listening skills.
- British Citizenship (Naturalisation)

How do you prepare for the tests?
Preparation with NTR Study
Our preparation programme includes five private, personalised online lessons with a tutor.
During the lessons, students receive:
- A full explanation of the exam format;
- Preparation based on Trinity’s exam structure and assessment criteria;
- Practice with questions and answers;
- Support with the vocabulary and language structures required;
- Mock exam practice;
- Guidance with topic preparation for the B1 exam.
The aim is to help students understand the exam format and feel more confident and prepared on the day of the test.
